Girls’ Volleyball Wins On and Off the Court
by Killian Yu
Class of 2015
On October 21st, the girls’ volleyball came together for a meaningful game against Framingham. This game was more than just a game to add to the volleyball team’s record; it was a game to honor the memory of Mr.Piazza and those who had and are currently suffering from cancer. Mr. Piazza continues to have a profound effect on all of the students an faculty at Braintree High School and the girls’ volleyball team kept Mr. Piazzas legacy and spirit alive in they’re game against Framingham.
The Wamps played their hearts out as they overcame the Framingham Flyers 3-0 in honor of Mr. Piazza and the fight against cancer. The girls volleyball team sported their pink and black jerseys for breast cancer awareness and their green socks for lymphoma. The team will also donate money to the Kyle J. Piazza Scholarship Fund. The Wamps volleyball program did an extraordinary job in their Fighting For A Cure game as they and other Wamps sports teams continue to fund raise and play in the honor of Mr. Piazza.
