As a taster for the people, by the people, I just wanted to update you on some great recent and upcoming events that you won’t want to miss out on!
March 15—FREE CONE DAY! Dairy Queen (Weymouth, Abington, Quincy) offered free small vanilla soft serve ice cream in a cone. Donations were encouraged, and all money raised that day will go to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Last year’s Free Cone Day raised over $140,000!
The Taster also suggests a Vanilla Cherry Dipped, or a Banana Split Blizzard.
Friday, March 18 &19—-BYOCUP Day at 7/11! Bring Your Own Cup Day to 7/11 means just that….but even better, it doesn’t even have to be a cup. Bring your fish bowl, your mom’s fancy vase, your favorite mug from Disney on Ice, or something cool I don’t even know about to your local 7/11 and you can fill it up with whatever flavor Slurpee your heart desires! There are rules however – The cup must fit upright through a 10″ hole, be clean, food safe, and watertight. One cup per person. So go out there, fill up Grandma’s gigantic coin bank with as much Slurpee you can and get weird!
The Taster reccomends the good, old fashioned Coke flavored Slurpee, or Dr. Pepper if available.
March, April, May—After the huge success McDonald’s has had with their breakfast value menu, Taco Bell will introduce a $1 Breakfast Menu that is sure to wow its audience. Ten items are available including a Mini Skillet Bowl, a Breakfast Soft Taco (bacon or sausage), a Sausage Flatbread Quesadilla, a Grilled Breakfast Burrito (bacon, sausage, or fiesta potatoes), a 2-Pack of Cinnabon Delights, a Hashbrown and a small Mountain Dew Kickstart Orange Citrus.
The Taster recommends eating as much Cinnabon Delights as possible (they’re offered ALL DAY)!!!
March- The first annual TASTIES will be awarded to local businesses and establishments who offer the town of Braintree the best possible food around. Follow the Taster on social media to get the most up to date TASTY Award Recipients!
