Sixteen teachers joined the Dance Team on stage for the second annual Dancing With the Staff and the performances did not disappoint.

Mr. Okolowitcz began the show with a bang with a standing back flip. The next group, including Ms. Culbertson, Ms. Tomassian and Ms. Wallenstein, came in with bright pink sparkled vests, and the teachers had shirts that read “virtue”, “vanity”, and “cheer”. Mr. Nellis lip synced to songs from the band ‘N Sync. The next performance began with Ms. Rodd’s ballet, followed by some moves to Beyonce and a solo by Ms. Gorman to Justin Beiber’s “Baby.”

The final performance by the teachers was by Mr. Cooper, Mr. Marx, Ms. Roffo and Mr. Daley. Mr. Cooper was lifted up in the air by the team. They all danced well, giving them a perfect score of 40.

The BHS alumni performed, as did the varsity and junior varsity teams.

The winning teacher group was Mr. Cooper, Mr. Marx, Ms. Roffo and Mr. Daley. Mr. Cooper’s worm across the stage was a great hit, and the lift at the end by Mr. Daley of Ms. Roffo was spectacular.

This year’s DWTS was a great success, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the judges: Ms. Hale, Mr. Delery, Ms. Moynihan, and Mr. Riordan.

“I am so proud of all the teachers who performed in DWTS,” said Ms. Rodd who spearheaded the organization of the event. “Their energy and enthusiasm was amazing and the BHS Dance Team truly appreciates all of their amazing efforts. While we are all sore and exhausted, we also all had a blast!”
